Evernote, year 3

Its been months and months since I last sat down to write about what is going on in the world of Evernote and how my work is shaping up.

A few changes…

#1.  I left Trillium Charter School (the school that I helped start and where I have done two great years of Evernote work).

#2.  I have joined Opal Charter School, where I am bringing my expertise and enthusiasm about e-portfolios and digital/mobile technology in general.

#3.  I am excited about expanding my work with Evernote from portfolios to much more, including new ways to document student work AND new ways to think about how students can use mobile technology to experience the world.

#4.  I have been testing out a lot of great new technology which I will be writing about in the coming weeks.  These include the Doxie scanner, the ScanSnap scanner, the Ipen, IdeaPaint and several other products that connect up with Evernote.

The big event of the summer (which I wrote about in my last blog) was having the opportunity to fly to San Francisco for the Evernote Trunk Conference and present at a satellite event around Evernote and education and at the Conference itself.  I not only got to share my work, but more importantly I got to meet people from around the world and hear  how they are using Evernote in their school’s and work environments.  It was an exciting 4 days.  Below is the presentation that I did with Bill Stites and Reshan Richard from Montclair Kimberley Academy.  They are doing some great out there in New Jersey.
